Sanasuma Retreat

Sri Lanka - January 2028

with Fernanda Reschke
Sanasuma means ease, relief, a soft settling into contentment.

This retreat is an invitation to slow down, rest, move gently, and reconnect with natural rhythms, both within yourself and in the environment around you.

Rest as practice.
Movement as listening.

Days are shaped by light, weather, movement, rest, shared meals, and time in nature rather than busy schedules.

Accommodation is boutique and nature-held, offering comfort while remaining close to the natural world - a kind of barefoot luxury that allows for genuine rest.

Each day includes gentle movement practices such as somatic movement, dance, stretching, cycling, walks in nature, and time for rest and reflection.

Movement is approached with curiosity and pleasure rather than performance or productivity.
There is also space for cultural immersion through cooking, visiting local markets, and spending time in the local community.

Food is an important part of the retreat experience, with most meals prepared from locally grown and seasonal ingredients, shared communally and slowly.

Sanasuma is also a digital-light retreat, inviting participants to step away from constant online engagement and return attention to the body, to nature, and to the people around them.

Held in the Sri Lankan countryside, surrounded by forest, lakes, and village life, this retreat offers a quieter, slower way of living for a period of time.

More than a retreat, Sanasuma is an invitation to spend time differently…

...to move, rest, eat, and relate within a slower rhythm, and to notice what becomes possible when life is lived with more simplicity, care, and attention.
